Job Description
A textile production store manager oversees raw material and finished goods inventory, manages warehouse operations, and ensures seamless material flow between storage and manufacturing lines to prevent factory bottlenecks. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Inventory and Material Control
- Track raw materials like fibers, yarns, fabrics, and trims against purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality, count, and specifications.
- Issue materials to production floors using proper documentation like challans.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records.
Production Coordination
- Align material availability with factory production schedules.
- Alert management and merchandising teams early about potential material shortages.
- Coordinate with procurement teams regarding delayed or damaged deliveries. [1, 2, 3]
Warehouse and Safety Management
- Organize storage areas systematically by lot, batch, or style.
- Ensure proper handling and climate control to prevent fabric damage or degradation.
