Van Delivery Executive

Core Roles & Responsibilities

·       Bulk Van Loading & Logistics: Supervise and assist in loading heavy crated and boxed merchandise into the delivery van at the Flipkart Large Hub. Secure heavy items safely inside the vehicle cargo area using structural straps, nets, and protective foam paddings to prevent collision damage during transit.

·       Two-Man Team Execution: Coordinate seamlessly with the assigned delivery helper to safely lift, carry, and maneuver large-dimension items, preventing physical injuries and minimizing product drops.

·       Doorstep & Inside-Home Delivery: Navigate physical infrastructure limitations to deliver products directly into the customer's room of choice. This includes safely using elevators, corridors, or climbing narrow multi-story staircases up to 50kg+.

·       Unboxing & Damage Inspection: Perform mandatory open-box delivery inspections in front of the customer. Unbox appliances carefully, inspect for visual or physical transit defects, and confirm pristine product health to prevent future disputes.

·       Digital Fulfillment & Verification: Operate the official Flipkart mobile app to navigate routes, map customer drops, verify recipient details, and securely close shipments via Customer OTP authentication or digital signatures.

·       Financial Accounting (COD): Securely collect Cash on Delivery (COD) or assist customers in making instantaneous digital wallet/UPI payments. Handle physical currency responsibly and reconcile funds at the hub daily.

·       Reverse Logistics & Exchanges: Manage heavy item product returns, trade-ins, and product exchange requests. Perform basic on-site checks for old/returned units before loading them back into the van for warehouse transit.

·   Route Navigation: Follow the most efficient, optimized delivery routes using smartphone navigation      tools to meet daily strict timelines.

·       Vehicle Maintenance: Cooperate with the driver to ensure the delivery van is clean, well-maintained, refueled, and safely operated under local traffic laws

3. Job Requirements & Eligibility Criteria

·       Physical Stamina: Excellent physical condition with the capability to lift, push, pull, and hold heavy cargo continuously during a 10-12 hour field shift.

·       Education: Minimum 10th standard pass or equivalent academic background.

·       Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in e-commerce, packers-and-movers, warehousing, or heavy appliance retail logistics. Freshers possessive of high physical stamina are highly welcome.

·       Driving License (Mandatory for Driver-Executives): A valid commercial Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) or Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Indian driving license, complete with a clean driving record free of active violations.

·       Device Competency: Ownership and functional proficiency of an Android smartphone to log transactions, capture geolocation maps, and record incoming data flows.
