Job description

We are looking for a creative and trend-aware Video Editor & Content Creator to join our in-house creative team. This role involves editing engaging short-form content(Reels/Shorts), designing educational creatives, and using AI-powered tools to enhance video production and content output.

You will work closely with marketing and content teams to create visually appealing, high-retention content that aligns with our brand and educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit high-quality short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
• Create trendy, engaging, fast-paced edits with good storytelling and hook-based structure.
• Add motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and on-screen text to improve retention.
• Design creative assets like thumbnails, posters, social media creatives, and promotional banners
• Use AI tools for faster content creation (AI voiceovers, captions, script enhancement, video generation, etc.).
• Collaborate with marketing/content teams to execute campaign creatives and video series.
• Maintain consistency with brand identity, fonts, colour palette, and design style.
• Manage multiple editing projects while meeting deadlines.
• Stay updated with editing trends, viral reel formats, and platform best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Design, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in video editing/motion graphics / social media content creation.
• Strong knowledge of tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut Pro or similar.
• Experience in creating Reels/Shorts with strong pacing, hooks, and trend adaptation.
• Good understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding.
• Ability to work with audio syncing, transitions, captions, and creative effects.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Portfolio showcasing short-form edits, motion graphics, and creative video work.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of AI tools like Runway ML, Pika, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Descript, ElevenLabs, Canva AI, etc.
• Motion graphics and animation skills.
• Experience in education/edtech content editing is a bonus.
• Basic graphic design skills for posters, thumbnails, and social creatives.
• Understanding of storytelling and content strategy for social media growth.
