Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing eCommerce business. The ideal candidate will manage daily accounting operations, reconcile sales from multiple online marketplaces, oversee inventory-related financial records, and ensure accurate financial reporting and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping.
• Record and reconcile daily sales from eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.).
• Reconcile payment gateways (Razor pay, etc.) and bank accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock adjustments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Process GST/VAT/sales tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Handle payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an eCommerce or retail business.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience reconciling marketplace settlements and payment gateways is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, or other eCommerce platforms.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and COGS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
