Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and creative Continental Chef for our Pure Vegetarian Restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality vegetarian continental dishes while ensuring consistency, presentation, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. The candidate should have expertise in vegetarian continental cuisine, menu innovation, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present a variety of vegetarian continental dishes including pasta, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, risottos, baked dishes, and desserts.

Ensure food quality, taste, portion control, and presentation standards are maintained at all times.

Develop and introduce new vegetarian continental recipes and seasonal menu items.

Manage mise-en-place and ensure timely preparation during service hours.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team for ingredient requirements.

Minimize food wastage and maintain food cost targets.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Supervise and train commis chefs and kitchen assistants.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.

Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients following FIFO practices.

Coordinate with service staff for smooth kitchen operations and guest satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or equivalent.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Continental Chef in a café, restaurant, hotel, or cloud kitchen.

Strong knowledge of vegetarian continental cuisine and modern plating techniques.

Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Skills

Expertise in vegetarian pasta, pizza, baked dishes, gourmet sandwiches, and salads.

Menu planning and recipe standardization.

Inventory and food cost management.

Team training and kitchen supervision.

Creativity in developing innovative vegetarian continental dishes.

Knowledge of vegan and Jain continental preparations will be an added advantage.
