*Job Summary:*

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Server Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our organization’s server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

*Key Responsibilities:*

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).

• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.

• Apply patches and upgrades regularly to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.

• Manage backups, disaster recovery planning, and system restoration procedures.

• Configure and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other essential services.

• Monitor network and server usage and optimize performance.

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to servers.

• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments for project implementation.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry best practices.

• Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.

*Requirements:*

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Server Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of server hardware and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).

• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Familiarity with networking concepts and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Server+) are a plus.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash).

• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
