Job SummaryThe Head Barista is responsible for leading the beverage operations of the café by ensuring exceptional coffee quality, maintaining high service standards, supervising the barista team, managing inventory, and delivering an outstanding guest experience. The role also includes training staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages as per company standards.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate the barista team to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Train and mentor new and existing baristas on beverage preparation, customer service, and SOPs.
• Ensure consistency in beverage taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Monitor daily opening and closing procedures of the beverage station.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee bar, equipment, and workstations.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, disposables, and other café supplies.
• Coordinate with the procurement team for timely inventory replenishment.
• Minimize beverage wastage and control operational costs.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of coffee machines and grinders.
• Handle guest queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company policies.
• Assist in introducing seasonal beverages and improving café offerings.
• Prepare daily sales, inventory, and wastage reports.
• Support the Café Manager in achieving operational and sales targets.
• Requirements3–6 years of experience as a Barista, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of espresso-based beverages, brewing techniques, latte art, and coffee extraction.
• Experience operating commercial espresso machines and grinders.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotational shifts.

पद का उद्देश्यहेड बरिस्ता का मुख्य कार्य कैफ़े के बेवरेज ऑपरेशन्स का नेतृत्व करना, उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले कॉफी एवं अन्य पेय पदार्थ तैयार करना, बरिस्ता टीम का मार्गदर्शन करना, इन्वेंट्री का प्रबंधन करना तथा ग्राहकों को उत्कृष्ट सेवा अनुभव प्रदान करना है।

• मुख्य जिम्मेदारियाँकंपनी के मानकों के अनुसार उच्च गुणवत्ता वाली कॉफी, चाय एवं अन्य विशेष पेय पदार्थ तैयार करना और परोसना।
• बरिस्ता टीम का नेतृत्व, प्रशिक्षण एवं दैनिक कार्यों की निगरानी करना।
• नए एवं वर्तमान बरिस्ता कर्मचारियों को SOPs, ग्राहक सेवा एवं बेवरेज तैयारी का प्रशिक्षण देना।
• सभी पेय पदार्थों के स्वाद, गुणवत्ता, प्रस्तुति एवं पोर्शन में एकरूपता बनाए रखना।
• बेवरेज स्टेशन की ओपनिंग एवं क्लोज़िंग प्रक्रियाओं का पालन सुनिश्चित करना।
• कॉफी बार, मशीनों एवं कार्यस्थल की साफ-सफाई एवं स्वच्छता बनाए रखना।
• कॉफी बीन्स, दूध, सिरप, डिस्पोजेबल्स एवं अन्य सामग्री की इन्वेंट्री की निगरानी करना।
• आवश्यक सामग्री की समय पर उपलब्धता के लिए खरीद विभाग से समन्वय करना।
• बेवरेज वेस्टेज कम करना एवं लागत नियंत्रण सुनिश्चित करना।
• कॉफी मशीन एवं ग्राइंडर की नियमित सफाई एवं बेसिक मेंटेनेंस करना।
• ग्राहकों की शिकायतों एवं फीडबैक का पेशेवर ढंग से समाधान करना।
• खाद्य सुरक्षा, स्वच्छता एवं कंपनी की नीतियों का पालन सुनिश्चित करना।
• नए एवं सीज़नल बेवरेज विकसित करने में सहयोग करना।
• दैनिक बिक्री, स्टॉक एवं वेस्टेज रिपोर्ट तैयार करना।
• कैफ़े मैनेजर को बिक्री एवं संचालन संबंधी लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने में सहयोग देना।
• आवश्यक योग्यताबरिस्ता के रूप में 3–6 वर्ष का अनुभव, जिसमें कम से कम 1–2 वर्ष का टीम लीड या सुपरवाइजरी अनुभव हो।
• एस्प्रेसो-आधारित पेय, ब्रूइंग तकनीक, लैटे आर्ट एवं कॉफी एक्सट्रैक्शन का गहन ज्ञान।
• कमर्शियल एस्प्रेसो मशीन एवं ग्राइंडर चलाने का अनुभव।
• उत्कृष्ट नेतृत्व, संचार एवं ग्राहक सेवा कौशल।
• खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं स्वच्छता मानकों की जानकारी।
• तेज़ गति वाले कार्य वातावरण में दबाव के साथ काम करने की क्षमता।
• सप्ताहांत, अवकाश एवं रोटेशनल शिफ्ट में कार्य करने की उपलब्धता।
