Job Description
Position: Junior Engineer – Overhead Electrification (OHE) Railway
Project Locations: Madhya Pradesh & Rajasthan, India
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisted in the execution of 25 kV Overhead Electrification (OHE) projects for Indian Railways across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
- Supervised day-to-day site activities, including OHE foundation, mast erection, structure installation, wiring, and associated civil and electrical works.
- Managed labour teams, subcontractors, and supervisors to achieve project milestones while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Planned daily work schedules and monitored project progress to ensure timely completion.
- Prepared and maintained Measurement Books (MBs) in accordance with Indian Railways standards.
- Prepared Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), work progress summaries, and project documentation for management and client review.
- Assisted in the preparation, verification, and submission of running account (RA) bills, final bills, and supporting documentation for Indian Railways.
- Performed quantity measurements, material reconciliation, and work certification for executed activities.
- Coordinated with Railway officials, consultants, and project stakeholders during inspections, approvals, and progress meetings.
- Ensured compliance with Indian Railways specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintained labour attendance, productivity records, equipment utilization, and site documentation.
- Utilized Microsoft Excel extensively for billing, MB preparation, quantity calculations, cost tracking, progress monitoring, and data analysis using formulas, pivot tables, and reporting tools.
- Supported senior engineers in planning, execution, testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
- Identified and resolved site-related issues to minimize delays and improve operational efficiency.
