Job Description
A Solar Sales Consultant is responsible for generating leads, educating customers about solar energy solutions, and closing sales for residential solar installations. The role combines technical understanding with strong sales skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Meet potential customers (residential) to assess energy needs
- Explain solar products, financing options, and ROI benefits in simple terms
- Conduct site assessments (basic) or coordinate with technical teams
- Prepare and present customized solar proposals and quotations
- Close sales and achieve monthly/quarterly targets
- Maintain relationships with clients for referrals and repeat business
- Stay updated on solar industry trends, government policies, and incentives
- Coordinate with installation and operations teams to ensure smooth execution
