Job Description
- 🎓 CAT/IPMAT Counsellor – Roles & Responsibilities1. 🧑🎓 Student Counselling & GuidanceUnderstand student goals (CAT, IPMAT, CUET, etc.)
- Guide students on:
- Course selection (foundation / advanced / crash)
- Target colleges (IIMs, IIM Indore/Rohtak for IPMAT)
- Provide realistic preparation strategies based on student level
- 2. 📞 Lead Management & ConversionHandle incoming leads (calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, website)
- Explain course structure, faculty, results, USP
- Convert enquiries into admissions
- Maintain follow-ups (very important for conversion)
- 3. 📊 Student ProfilingAssess student level (academic background, aptitude)
- Suggest personalized study plans
- Identify weak areas (Quant, LRDI, Verbal)
- 4. 📝 Admission Process HandlingExplain fee structure, discounts, scholarships
- Complete admission formalities
- Coordinate for batch allocation
- 5. 🤝 Relationship ManagementMaintain strong connection with students & parents
- Address concerns (performance, attendance, doubts)
- Improve retention and reduce dropouts
- 6. 📢 Marketing SupportParticipate in:
- Seminars in schools/colleges
- Webinars & workshops
- Promote referral programs
- Assist in local marketing campaigns
- 7. 📈 Performance TrackingMonitor student progress (tests, mocks)
- Give feedback and motivation
- Coordinate with faculty for improvement plans
- 8. 🗂️ Data & CRM ManagementMaintain student database
- Track leads, conversions, and follow-ups
- Update CRM regularly
- 9. 🎯 Target AchievementMeet monthly/quarterly admission targets
- Work on revenue goals
- 🔑 Key Skills RequiredStrong communication (Hindi + English)
- Sales & convincing ability
- Basic understanding of CAT/IPMAT exams
