Job Description
Assistant Accountant – Job DescriptionAn Assistant Accountant supports the finance and accounting operations of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in reporting and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., TallyPrime)
- Maintain purchase, sales, and expense entries
- Reconcile bank statements and ledgers
- Prepare invoices, vouchers, and payment records
- Assist in GST filing, tax calculations, and compliance
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Support in preparing financial reports and audits
- Maintain proper documentation and records
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Familiarity with GST and taxation
- Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and communication skills
Qualification:
- B.Com / M.Com or relevant accounting background
- 1–3 years experience preferred
