Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer (MEP Design) to join our team in a senior leadership role. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the electrical design function across multiple MEP projects, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.

The role involves managing and mentoring a team, driving technical excellence, and acting as a key point of contact for client coordination. You will be expected to oversee end-to-end project execution, provide strategic inputs, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

1. 8–10 years of experience in Electrical MEP Design and Consulting
2. Prior experience with reputed MEP consulting firms is preferable
3. Proven experience in handling large-scale commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects
4. Strong exposure to design management, client handling, and team leadership

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Electrical Design function across multiple MEP projects
2. Oversee preparation and review of SLDs, load calculations, BOQs, and detailed electrical drawings
3. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (IS/IEC/NBC, etc.)
4. Drive design optimization, value engineering, and cost efficiency
5. Handle design of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, earthing, lighting, and power distribution systems
6. Coordinate with clients, architects, PMC, and other consultants
7. Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and client presentations
8. Provide guidance on site challenges, inspections, and design validations
9. Develop and mentor the electrical design team
10. Ensure timely delivery, quality control, and adherence to project timelines

Skills & Competencies

1. Strong expertise in Electrical MEP Design
2. In-depth knowledge of codes, standards, and compliance frameworks
3. Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux, etc.
4. Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
5. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
6. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Salary Range: depending on experience and profile
