Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Compliance Officer to ensure that Mighty Avengers Solar maintains full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies in the solar energy sector. The role will focus on legal risk management, regulatory adherence, and taxation compliance to support the company’s sustainable growth in the renewable energy industry.
- Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all central, state, and local laws, regulations, and statutory requirements relevant to solar power projects, renewable energy policies, and corporate operations.
- Oversee taxation compliance including GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other direct/indirect tax matters; coordinate with tax consultants and authorities.
- Review and draft contracts, agreements, MoUs, PPAs, and vendor/partner documentation to mitigate legal risks.
- Conduct internal compliance audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective action plans.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies (MNRE, DISCOMs, RERC, etc.), government departments, and external legal counsel.
- Advise management on legal implications of business decisions, new projects, land acquisition, environmental clearances, and incentives/subsidies.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, training programs, and documentation systems.
- Handle corporate secretarial matters, filings, licenses, and renewals.
- Stay updated on changes in renewable energy laws, environmental regulations, labor laws, and company law.
