Job Description
- Roles & ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Maintain material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, dock levelers, conveyors, and hydraulic equipment.
- Inspect and repair mechanical systems, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and other machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain maintenance schedules and complete preventive maintenance as planned.
- Coordinate with operations to minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor the condition of machinery and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
- Ensure adequate inventory of critical spare parts and maintenance tools.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company SOPs during maintenance work.
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse infrastructure, including rolling shutters, loading docks, racks, and mechanical fixtures.
- Assist in the installation, relocation, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance when required.
- Keep the workshop and maintenance area clean and organized (5S).
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety and environmental requirements.
- Train warehouse staff on the proper use and basic care of equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
