Job Title: Project Support Engineer – Homologation (GRT)

Job Purpose Statement:

• To study and identify regulatory requirements for CMVR compliance.
• Internal coordination with different department for vehicle preparation for Type Approval Testing.
• Pre-homologation planning and execution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Establishing communication and coordination with test labs at testing agencies (ICAT, ARAI, etc.) for vehicle testing as per IS & AIS standards.
• Vehicle Verification (Part ID & Functionality check) before submission for Type Approval Testing.
• Preparing Type Approval documents (AIS 007) and external check sheets as per test agency requirement for vehicle certification.
• Knowledge of vehicle level COP as per as per AIS 137.

Knowledge of Component Testing & certification as per AIS 037.

Key Accountabilities:

Type Approval Certification of HMCL products for domestic market

Creation of online system for vehicle type approval application & related database. 

Liaising with multiple homologation authorities in India to establish network for vehicle approvals

Compiling updates on domestic requirements on following items –

1. 1. On Safety subjects
   2. On emission subjects
   3. On Electrical subjects
   4. Administrative requirements

Prepare & adherence to homologation SOPs.

Education :B.Tech/Diploma (Electronics / Electrical /Automobile/ Mechanical Engineering)

Technical / Functional Competencies:

• Knowledge of Electronics / Electrical /Automobile Engineering/ Electrical Vehicle
• Well conversant with AIS & IS standards.
• Ability to multitask to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize as per the requirements within strict deadline while adhering the regulatory norms.
• Ability to proactively identifying and managing regulatory and compliance issues for easy going Type Approval.
• Expertise in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
