Job SummaryThe Restaurant Manager will oversee the complete operations of a South Indian restaurant, ensuring excellent guest experience, high-quality food standards, smooth team coordination, and profitability. The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of South Indian cuisine, and hands-on operational control.

• Key Responsibilities1. Operations ManagementManage daily restaurant operations (dine-in, takeaway, delivery)
• Ensure smooth functioning of kitchen and service areas
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per FSSAI guidelines
• Monitor opening and closing procedures
• 2. Team ManagementRecruit, train, and supervise staff (chefs, stewards, baristas if applicable)
• Prepare staff schedules and manage shifts
• Maintain discipline, grooming, and performance standards
• Conduct regular team briefings
• 3. Customer ExperienceEnsure high-quality customer service and guest satisfaction
• Handle customer complaints professionally
• Build repeat customer base
• 4. Food & Quality ControlEnsure consistency in South Indian dishes (Idli, Dosa, Vada, Sambhar, Chutneys, etc.)
• Monitor food presentation, taste, and portion control
• Coordinate with kitchen for quality checks
• 5. Inventory & Cost ControlManage stock levels (raw materials like rice, lentils, spices)
• Reduce wastage and control food cost
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
• 6. Sales & Business GrowthAchieve sales targets and improve revenue
• Plan local promotions and offers
• Monitor daily sales reports and KPIs
• 7. Compliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations
• Maintain records (attendance, billing, stock, licenses)
