Job Description:
- Driving trucks to transport goods between warehouses, factories, customers, and distribution centers.
- Loading and unloading cargo, or supervising the loading process.
- Inspecting the truck before and after each trip (brakes, tires, lights, fuel, etc.).
- Ensuring cargo is properly secured to prevent damage during transport.
- Following assigned delivery schedules and planned routes.
- Maintaining accurate delivery records, logbooks, and transport documents.
- Obtaining signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Reporting accidents, delays, vehicle breakdowns, or cargo damage to the supervisor.
- Performing basic vehicle maintenance checks and reporting repair needs.
- Following traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Keeping the truck clean and in good working condition.
- Coordinating with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers regarding deliveries.
