Job Summary

FARMKING is hiring a Welder / Fitter for production, fabrication, welding, fitting and assembly-support work. The candidate will work on agricultural machinery, tractor attachments, machine frames, fabricated structures, brackets, mounts, supports and related components.

The role requires practical experience in welding, tack welding, grinding, fabrication fitting, part matching, hole alignment, fit-up, repair/rework welding and basic assembly support.

Key Responsibility Areas / KRA

• Perform welding, tack welding, repair/rework welding, grinding and fabrication-support work as per drawing, sample, fixture, measurement or supervisor instruction.
• Support fitting, fit-up, part matching, hole alignment, joint positioning and basic assembly preparation for machine frames, brackets, mounts, supports and tractor attachments.
• Check part matching, joint position, gap, alignment, hole matching and assembly readiness before and during welding/fitting work.
• Maintain welding quality, joint strength, fitment accuracy, alignment accuracy, finishing discipline and production accuracy.
• Identify and report defects such as weak welds, cracks, porosity, undercut, excessive spatter, distortion, missed weld, hole mismatch, wrong alignment, poor fit-up or wrong part matching.
• Handle welding machines, cables, holders, electrodes/wire, clamps, grinders, fixtures, hand tools, measuring tools and job materials responsibly.
• Coordinate with fabrication, fitting, machining, assembly, quality and production teams for assigned shop-floor work.
• Follow welding safety, fitting safety, grinding safety, PPE usage, fire-risk control, electrical safety and shop-floor discipline.

Required Qualification

10th / 12th / ITI Welder / ITI Fitter / ITI Fabrication or related technical qualification preferred.

Practical welding, fitting, alignment and fabrication skill will be important for shortlisting.

Required Experience

1 to 5+ years of relevant experience in welding, fitting, fabrication, agricultural machinery, tractor attachments, machine manufacturing, heavy fabrication, workshop production or repair/rework work.

Candidates with experience in Arc welding, MIG/CO2 welding, tack welding, fabrication fitting, grinding, part matching, alignment and assembly support will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Practical welding and fitting knowledge
• Arc welding / MIG / CO2 welding exposure preferred
• Tack welding and final welding ability
• Basic fabrication fitting, fit-up, alignment and part-matching understanding
• Ability to work as per drawing, sample, fixture, measurement or supervisor instruction
• Grinding, drilling-support and fabrication-support understanding
• Basic assembly-support and hole-matching knowledge
• Ability to identify visible welding, fitment and alignment defects
• Safe handling of welding machines, grinders, tools, fixtures and materials
• Coordination with production, fabrication, machining, fitting, assembly and quality teams
• Discipline, punctuality and shop-floor work readiness

Preferred Background

Candidates from welding, fitting, fabrication, agricultural machinery, tractor attachments, machine manufacturing, heavy fabrication, workshop production, mechanical assembly support or repair/rework welding background will be preferred.

KPI / Performance Indicators

Performance will be reviewed based on:

• Welding quality and joint strength
• Fitting, alignment and part-matching accuracy
• Timely completion of assigned work
• Reduction of rework and rejection
• Defect identification and reporting discipline
• Proper handling of tools, machines, materials and PPE
• Safety discipline during welding, grinding, fitting and fabrication work
• Coordination with fabrication, machining, fitting, assembly and quality teams
• Shop-floor discipline, punctuality and conduct

Role Boundaries

The Welder / Fitter may support welding, fitting, alignment and assembly preparation. However, the employee shall not independently approve final fitment, assembly sequence, quality approval, drawing/design change, material change, welding-process change, scrap/rejection decision, machine repair, overtime or customer/vendor commitment.

Final approval shall remain with Fabrication In-charge / Production In-charge / Quality / Factory Manager / Management.

Compensation and Benefits

Monthly Salary / CTC: ₹15,000 – ₹24,000 per month

CTC shall not be treated as in-hand salary unless specifically mentioned in the offer letter.

PF, ESI, overtime/extra work and other statutory/company benefits shall be applicable as per company policy, eligibility and applicable law.

Selection Process
