Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bookkeeping.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor all banking transactions, identifying and resolving any unidentified debits, credits, or discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records, ensuring timely collections and vendor payments.
- Conduct ledger scrutiny and periodic reconciliation of customer, vendor, and inter-company accounts.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs), Proforma Invoices (PIs), Sales Invoices, Debit Notes, Credit Notes, and other accounting documents.
- Prepare, review, and file GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, and GST reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and file TDS returns, ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS, and reconcile Form 26AS and related records.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of Income Tax-related documentation and coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and Chartered Accountants.
- Reconcile GST input tax credits with vendor filings and follow up with suppliers to resolve mismatches.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital requirements, receivables, payables, and banking facilities.
- Prepare financial data, schedules, and documentation required by banks, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including provisions, accruals, reconciliations, and account finalization.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
- Support management by maintaining accurate financial records and providing timely financial analysis and reports for decision-making.
- Handle departmental correspondence, respond to accounting and taxation-related queries, and maintain proper documentation and records.
Education & Experience
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
Software Knowledge: Accounting Software, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and Google Workspace.
Minimum Experience: 3–5 years in Accounting, Taxation, and Financial Reporting.
- Behavioral & Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced spreadsheet functions.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Good understanding of banking operations, financial controls, and compliance procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Professional integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
