Position Summary:
ASSA ABLOY is seeking a proactive and highly organized Assistant Manager – Facility & Administration to drive best-in-class facility management practices at our Jamnagar plant. The role is responsible for strengthening Building Management Systems, maintaining world-class housekeeping standards, ensuring vibrant landscaping, elevating canteen and hygiene benchmarks, and fostering a collaborative and service-oriented environment across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel & Hospitality Management
- Establish and streamline processes for travel bookings, hotel arrangements, guest house operations, and related administrative support.
- Ensure cost-effective and timely travel coordination for employees and guests.
Canteen & Food Services
- Standardize canteen operations with a strong focus on food quality, hygiene, nutritional balance, and waste minimization.
- Conduct regular audits and partner with vendors to implement continuous improvements.
Office Display & Employee Amenities
- Lead initiatives to elevate office aesthetics and workplace ambience.
- Oversee procurement of uniforms, safety shoes, and employee amenities in line with global ASSA ABLOY standards.
Employee Grievance Management
- Act as a key support function for resolving facility-related employee concerns with speed and transparency.
- Partner with HR and Operations to ensure a positive workplace experience.
Building & Facility Operations
- Ensure seamless daily operations of all building systems, including housekeeping, plumbing, civil maintenance, electrical, and security.
- Plan and optimize space utilization in alignment with business needs.
- Coordinate office expansions, relocations, layout improvements, and renovation activities.
- Lead facility-related projects such as infrastructure upgrades and new construction initiatives.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Implement a transparent vendor evaluation and performance monitoring framework.
- Build strong partnerships with vendors to ensure service quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Monitor and maintain the facility management budget with accuracy and ownership.
- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities in utilities, maintenance, and service contracts without compromising standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance processes, and facility operations.
- Excellent coordination, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High degree of ownership, time management, and prioritization.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- 10–15 years of experience in Admin/facility management or a similar role within a medium or large manufacturing unit.
- Graduate in any discipline; a master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
Excellent organizational and understanding skills.
Strong Coordination abilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Exceptional time management, planning, and prioritization capabilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a team player.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
Strong command of English (verbal & written).
