Job Description
We are hiring a Purchase Executive for our Jamshedpur factory. You must have experience in buying materials for the Electrical Panel or Switchgear manufacturing industry.
(Please do not apply if you do not have experience in the electrical field)
Key Responsibilities
- Buy Electrical Items: Sourcing raw materials like switchgears (ABB, Siemens, Schneider), copper busbars, wires, meters, and sheet metal.
- Negotiate & Save Costs: Talking to suppliers to get the best discounts and credit terms.
- Manage Vendors: Maintaining good relationships with old suppliers and finding new ones.
- Check Stock & Prices: Checking stock with the production team so material never runs out, and tracking copper/steel prices to buy at the right time.
- Create Orders & Track Delivery: Making Purchase Orders (PO) and following up with vendors daily so material reaches the factory on time.
- Verify Quality & Bills: Checking incoming materials to ensure they match the order, and working with the accounts team for vendor payments.
Requirements (Who Can Apply)
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of purchase experience strictly in Electrical Panel Manufacturing or Switchgear companies.
- Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of electrical brands like Schneider, Siemens, ABB, and L&T.
- Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, or any Graduate with strong experience in electrical purchase.
- Skills: Good communication and negotiation skills.
