Injection Moulding Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

Operate injection molding machines as per approved procedures.

Start up and shut down machines safely.

Monitor machine parameters and production output.

Change molds with the assistance of technicians when required.

Ensure correct raw material loading and material identification.

Production

Achieve daily production targets.

Inspect molded components at defined intervals.

Segregate defective parts and report abnormalities immediately.

Minimize rejection, wastage, and downtime.

Quality Control

Perform visual inspection of molded parts.

Check dimensions using gauges and measuring instruments.

Maintain records of in-process inspections.

Follow approved quality standards and specifications.

Documentation

Record production quantity, rejection quantity, and downtime.

Complete machine logbooks accurately.

Report shift activities to the supervisor.

Preventive Maintenance

Carry out routine machine cleaning.

Check oil levels, cooling systems, and machine condition.

Inform maintenance team of any machine abnormalities.

Support preventive maintenance activities.

Safety and Compliance

Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Maintain 5S standards in the work area.

Comply with GMP and company policies.

Participate in safety and quality training programs.

Educational Qualification

ITI (Fitter, Turner, Plastic Processing, Mechanical) preferred.

Diploma in Mechanical/Plastic Engineering is an added advantage.

Minimum Higher Secondary education may be considered with relevant experience.

Experience

Operator: 1–3 years of experience in injection molding operations.

Experience in medical device, IVD, pharmaceutical, or plastic manufacturing industries preferred.

Knowledge of handling automated molding machines is desirable.

Skills Required

Understanding of injection molding processes.

Ability to identify molding defects.

Basic knowledge of machine settings and troubleshooting.

Ability to use measuring instruments.

Good documentation practices.

Teamwork and discipline.

Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Production target achievement (%).

Machine utilization (%).

Rejection rate (%).

Downtime due to operator error.

5S and safety compliance score.

Accuracy of production records.

Attendance and punctuality.

Working Conditions

Rotational shifts as per production requirements.

Standing for extended periods.

Use of PPE including safety shoes, gloves, masks, and uniforms.

Injection Molding Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for an Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at our Kotambi plant. The candidate will be responsible for operating injection molding machines, ensuring quality production, maintaining records, and following safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate injection molding machines efficiently.

Start and stop machines as per SOP.

Monitor production and achieve shift targets.

Perform visual inspection of molded parts.

Identify and segregate defective products.

Maintain production and rejection records.

Carry out routine machine cleaning.

Report machine issues to the supervisor.

Follow 5S, GMP, and safety guidelines.

Work in rotational shifts, if required.

Requirements

Minimum 10th/12th Pass or ITI.

1–3 years of experience in injection molding operations.

Freshers with technical background may also apply.

Basic understanding of plastic molding processes.

Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
