Manager - Process & DBP Automation

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Overall responsibilities for smooth operation and maintenance of Process and DBP Automation activities with effective maintenance practices, spares management, budget control, equipment redundancy, equipment qualification and education and capability building for team of executives and technicians

Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position. .

o ensure maximum availability of plant equipments and trouble free operation of the plant.

•To ensure availability of spares/consumables and inventory meeting critical maintenance requirement.

•To ensure Automation Budget control and tracking with justification.

•To initiate and implement cost reduction measures to reduce maintenance cost.

•To ensure 100 % compliance for calibration of instruments with process validation.

•Responsible for leading RCA for manufacturing events pertaining to automation.

•Responsible for the maintenance (corrective, preventive, predictive) and the troubleshooting/ investigation support to Process ,Dry Blending.Packaging Operations

•Responsible for routine compliance of automation maintenance activities and ensure products meets Abbott Safety/Environment standards and legislative regulations.

•Manage and lead contractors, vendors and service providers to perform maintenance works at site.

•Lead in continuous improvement efforts/ projects and responsible for support and execution of software validation of automation qualification such as FAT, SAT, Commissioning, Validation VCR, IQ, etc.

•Responsible for developing Standard Operating Procedures, implementing of maintenance program for the Manufacturing Control Systems.

•Responsible to ensure that automation team is fully trained in the appropriate SOP's.Responsible for developing and executing capability development plan for automation technicians

•Responsible for ensuring high safety, health and environment standards in all engineering operations including external vendors and contractors.

•Responsible for review and approving specific documentation, procedures and site change control processes for equipment and process in consultation with Engineering Manager.

•Responsible to lead and execute automation improvements projects at site.

•Responsible for promoting safe work culture among the automation technicians.

•Responsible for documentation and its timely retrieval. 

Education

•Bachelor of Engineering majoring Electronic/ Instrumentations with 8-10 years of relevant work experience.

•Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills. Strong in planning and supervisory skills.

•Good Communication Skills with High computer literacy.

•Knowledge in Six Sigma and Lean concept will be an added advantage

•Hands on experience with PLC's /SCADA operations .
