Accountant

Job Title: Accountant – Retail Store

Location: Kanpur

Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage the financial operations of our retail stores. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling day-to-day accounting tasks including cash tally, reporting, GST filing, e-invoicing, and other financial procedures necessary for smooth store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cash tally and ensure accuracy in cash handling.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts using Tally or other accounting software.
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Handle e-invoicing and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage GST filings, returns, and compliance with government regulations.
• Keep track of expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Assist with audits and ensure proper record keeping.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers regarding payments and invoices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, books, and reports.
• Handle other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the management.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in accounting, preferably in retail operations.
• Working knowledge of Tally software.
• Understanding of GST filing, e-invoicing, and compliance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Excel.
