As part of our exciting growth journey, we're launching our own premium denim brand and are looking for a passionate, driven, and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for managing the complete merchandising lifecycle—from product development and buyer communication to production planning and final dispatch.

You'll collaborate with buyers, suppliers, designers, production teams, washing experts, quality control, and management to ensure every order is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Buyer & Client Management

• Manage communication with domestic and international buyers.
• Understand buyer requirements, tech packs, and product specifications.
• Coordinate sample approvals and order confirmations.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Ensure smooth communication throughout the order lifecycle.

Product Development

• Coordinate the development of new denim products and collections.
• Work closely with design and sampling teams.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate sourcing of fabrics, trims, labels, buttons, rivets, patches, hangtags, packaging, and accessories.
• Manage Prototype, Fit Sample, SMS, PPS, and Production approvals.

Production Planning & Coordination

• Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars.
• Coordinate with Cutting, Stitching, Washing, Finishing, Packing, and Dispatch departments.
• Monitor daily production status.
• Ensure timely production and shipment.
• Resolve production-related challenges proactively.

Costing & Vendor Management

• Prepare garment costing sheets.
• Source fabrics, trims, and accessories.
• Negotiate with suppliers for quality and competitive pricing.
• Improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Washing & Denim Development

• Coordinate denim wash developments and approvals.
• Maintain wash standards and wash libraries.
• Develop innovative denim washes and finishes.
• Work closely with washing teams to ensure consistency and quality.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure products meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections and quality checkpoints.
• Resolve quality and production issues efficiently.

Brand Development Responsibilities:

As we launch our own premium denim brand, you'll also:

• Coordinate seasonal collections.
• Support product launch planning.
• Maintain SKU and product databases.
• Assist in assortment planning.
• Track best-selling products and market trends.
• Coordinate product photography, sample management, and launch activities with the marketing team.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of:

• Purchase Orders
• Cost Sheets
• Vendor Database
• Sample Tracker
• Production Reports
• Order Tracker
• Shipment Documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Textile, Apparel, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in denim or apparel merchandising.
• Experience in garment exports or domestic apparel manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong understanding of denim garments, jeans construction, and washing processes.
• Experience handling buyer communications, product development, and production coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple buyers, styles, and orders simultaneously.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: ₹19,000 In-Hand + PF, ESI & Other Statutory Benefits

Salary is negotiable for deserving candidates based on relevant experience, skills, and overall fit.
