Professional Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for safe and efficient operation of chemical reactors and associated process

equipment, ensuring production targets, product quality, process safety, and compliance with

standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate batch manufacturing reactors and process equipment.

• Execute raw material charging as per approved batch instructions.

• Monitor temperature, pressure, vacuum, agitation, and utility systems.

• Perform sampling and coordinate with Quality Control.

• Maintain production logs and batch records.

• Support filtration, transfer, stripping, and finishing operations.

• Ensure housekeeping and equipment cleanliness.

• Assist in preventive maintenance activities.

Technical Skills Required

• Chemical reactor operation

• Vacuum and distillation systems

• Exothermic reaction management

• Nitrogen blanketing and inert atmosphere handling

• Pump, condenser, chiller, and agitator operation

• Batch processing and process monitoring

• Sampling and basic quality checks

• Process troubleshooting

Safety Requirements

• Strong understanding of process safety practices

• Hazardous chemical handling experience

• Emergency shutdown awareness

• PPE compliance

• Spill response and incident reporting

• Safe handling of pressure and vacuum systems

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma, ITI, B.Sc., or equivalent technical qualification preferred

• Minimum 3 years of industrial plant experience preferred
