Manager-GDC
Roles & responsibilities
The manager will be predominantly responsible to –
Audit Service Delivery –
Manage and supervise the execution of external audit engagements of various clients in accordance with relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards.
Maintain a working knowledge of and research findings regarding accounting literature trends and technical issues relevant to the client’s industry.
Oversee engagement management including managing the budget resourcing strategy billing and collections and progress against the plan timeline and milestones.
Set the culture for the engagement team and mentor members in their career development.
Build and manage client relationships and accounts including driving the client experience on engagements.
Understand and utilize KPMGs Audit Methodology.
Leading through Planning, Execution and Completion stages of Audit Engagements and coordinate with partners to meet various milestones of the audit.
Proactively discuss audit procedures with teams, allocating right resources (wherever needed) to work and monitor performance against standards by performing continuous reviews.
Provide innovative solutions and explore opportunities to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery in efficient ways.
Manage people and leading projects –
Be a performance manager to guide and coach ACH Senior Associate professionals on career advancement and provide continuous feedback throughout the performance year on their development areas.
Actively participate and lead overall performance development and feedback process at team level and at overall GDC level
Take steps to inculcate the GDC Culture
Support business and industry specific knowledge development initiatives at GDC
Lead / participate in firm’s strategic initiatives and/or corporate social responsibility programs
Improve operational effectiveness through measures of improving people utilization and generating efficiencies

Mandatory technical & functional skills
Audit and accounting knowledge, including applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook
Strong English communication abilities (Verbal & Written) and effective audit documentation skills
Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills
Strong project management, leadership, coaching and supervisory skills
Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills
This role is for you if you have the below
Educational qualifications
Qualified CA/US CPA/ACCA and minimum of Bachelors’ degree in Finance & Accounting with first division (60%)
5– 7 years of post-qualification experience along with strong Articleship experience from a mid-size or a Big 4 firm in case of CA
Work experience
Recent client facing audit experience with Big 4/leading Audit firms or their shared service center on end-to-end audits required.
Minimum of 1 year experience as an audit manager on an end-to-end audit.
