SAS Viya – Senior Consultant, Data & AI, Technology Consulting

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant for Data & AI Technology Consulting with expertise in SAS Viya. You will join a global team in a rapidly growing Data & AI practice, contributing to the design, build, and support of SAS Viya platforms and analytics solutions. This role offers the opportunity to implement information-driven strategies and advanced analytics solutions that help clients grow, optimise, and safeguard their organisations.

Your Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and administer SAS Viya components, including CAS and compute servers, under the guidance of senior architects.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using SAS Visual Analytics based on business needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective visualisations.
Support platform lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, environment promotions, and production support.
Monitor CAS performance, optimise workloads, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Ensure platform security and access controls, aligning with enterprise standards.
Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and delivery best practices.

Skills and Attributes for Success

5–7 years’ experience in analytics platforms or enterprise Data & AI environments, with strong SAS exposure.
Hands-on experience in SAS Viya administration and CAS operations.
Experience in building dashboards and reports using SAS Visual Analytics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for production issues.
Knowledge of SAS Viya security concepts and platform operations.
Excellent communication and consulting skills, comfortable conducting workshops and demos.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
7–9 years’ relevant experience in SAS-based analytics platforms, including SAS Viya.
Experience with platform lifecycle activities and Agile delivery models.
SAS certifications (Viya Administration/Programming) preferred.
Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
