Job Description
*Job Title: Fashion Designer – Ethnic Wear (Sarees, Suits & Lehengas)*
*Job Summary:*
We are looking for an experienced Fashion Designer from a production house specializing in *sarees, suits OR lehengas*. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of garment production, sampling, fabrics, embroidery, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes.
*Roles & Responsibilities:*
* Develop innovative designs and collections for sarees, suits, and lehengas in line with market trends.
* Create and supervise product sampling, ensuring design accuracy and production feasibility.
* Coordinate with production teams, khaka master, Embroidery Karigars and vendors for smooth execution of samples and bulk production.
* Possess in-depth knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, embroidery (hand & machine), printing, dyeing, embellishments, and finishing processes.
* Ensure quality standards, timely sample development, and cost-effective production while maintaining design aesthetics.
*Requirements:*
* 4–8+ years of experience in a production house specializing in ethnic wear.
* Strong understanding of sampling, production processes, machine and hand embroidery, dyeing, printing, and garment finishing.
* Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, and embellishments.
* Ability to coordinate with production teams and vendors independently.
* Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail and current fashion trends.
