Job Description
Office housekeeping duties and responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace to ensure employee health, safety, and productivity. Key tasks include sanitizing shared equipment, managing waste and recycling, and restocking breakroom and restroom supplies
Workspaces & Desks: Disinfect high-touch areas such as keyboards, mice, and desk surfaces. Empty personal and centralized trash bins.
Restroom Maintenance: Restock consumables like toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and sanitizer. Disinfect toilets, sinks, mirrors, and door handles.
Breakroom & Pantry: Load and unload dishwashers, wipe down countertops and tables, and sanitize coffee machines. Clear out expired food from refrigerators and wipe down shelves.
Trash & Recycling: Remove and properly segregate all office waste and recyclable materials, taking them to designated collection zones.
Common Areas: Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard flooring, and dust surfaces in lobbies, hallways, and reception
Deep Cleaning: Perform detailed deep cleans of restrooms, including scrubbing showers (if applicable) and mopping with heavy-duty disinfectants.
Glass & Windows: Clean interior and exterior office windows, glass partitions, and conference room walls.
Upholstery & Furniture: Dust, polish, and vacuum office furniture, waiting area sofas, and fabric chairs
Supply Restocking: Monitor, track, and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and breakroom items (like coffee and sugar) to management.
Maintenance Reporting: Identify and flag facility damages—such as leaking faucets, broken light bulbs, or carpet tears—so management can schedule professional repairs.
Health & Safety: Adhere to workplace sanitation codes and ensure cleaning chemicals are stored safely according to hazard regulations
