Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet organisational needs
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sources of supply
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure the best value for the company
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Oversee inventory management and optimise stock levels
- Collaborate with various departments to understand requirements and provide solutions
- Analyse market trends and prices to make informed purchasing decisions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase and procurement within the iron and steel industry
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCom) mandatory
- Proficiency in Tally and strong accounting & Purchase order making skills is mandatory
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and increase vendor list.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good connection with transporters and able to arrange as per requirement.
