Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Backend Office Coordinator to support the smooth coordination between the factory and the office in our manufacturing unit. The role will be responsible for managing requisitions, tracking production-related requirements, coordinating dispatches, and ensuring timely communication across factory, office, vendor, and logistics teams. Operations coordination roles in manufacturing typically focus on communication, record-keeping, inventory support, dispatch planning, and cross-functional follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
•Coordinate with factory teams to collect and process daily and weekly requisitions for raw materials, tools, consumables, and production inputs.
•Track production requirements and follow up with relevant teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
•Oversee dispatch planning, including scheduling, documentation, and handover of finished goods to logistics partners.
•Act as the main point of contact for factory-office coordination and resolve issues related to production delays, inventory shortages, and quality check updates.
•Maintain accurate records of requisitions, dispatches, inventory movements, and factory communications.
•Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management using Excel, ERP, or other internal systems.
•Liaise with vendors, transporters, and internal departments to ensure timely material receipt and shipment execution.
•Support inventory control and other ad hoc factory coordination tasks to minimize downtime.
•Follow up on pending actions to ensure smooth workflow between production, dispatch, and office operations.
These responsibilities align with manufacturing back-office and logistics coordination roles, which commonly include coordination with production, inventory tracking, shipment planning, vendor communication, and reporting.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
•2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, backend operations, or factory coordination.
•Experience in fabrics, nonwovens, packaging, or similar manufacturing environments will be preferred.
Skills Required
•Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
•Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and basic ERP or inventory systems.
•Good communication skills for dealing with factory floor teams, vendors, transporters, and office staff.
•Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•Basic understanding of dispatch, inventory, and production coordination.
•Hindi and English communication skills required; basic Bengali preferred.
Preferred Competencies
•Problem-solving mindset.
•Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
•Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
•Good coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
•Familiarity with Kolkata logistics and local transport networks.
