Job SummaryWe are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team at Calcuttawala, Shakespeare Sarani. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, skilled in preparing premium beverages, and committed to delivering outstanding service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

• Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage PreparationPrepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks as per standard recipes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of every beverage.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Guest ExperienceWelcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Take customer orders accurately and recommend beverages and café specials.
• Deliver prompt, friendly, and personalized service to create memorable guest experiences.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve concerns courteously.
• Café OperationsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee counter, equipment, and guest service area.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Assist in opening and closing duties of the café.
• Inventory & Quality ControlMonitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and café supplies.
• Report inventory shortages and equipment maintenance requirements.
• Minimize wastage through proper storage and portion control.
• Team CollaborationCoordinate effectively with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operations.
• Support fellow team members during peak business hours.
• Maintain a positive and energetic work environment.
• QualificationsHigher Secondary (12th Pass) or equivalent.
• Professional Barista training or certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience1–3 years of experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, hotel, or premium food & beverage outlet.
• Freshers with certified Barista training and a passion for coffee may also apply.
• Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk texturing, and coffee brewing techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of café POS systems and billing.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Preferred Candidate ProfilePassionate about coffee and hospitality.
• Well-groomed with excellent interpersonal skills.
