Role OverviewAs a Business Development Executive, you will be the frontline force driving our sales and growth strategy. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective clients, and closing deals. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the local Kolkata market (or target global markets if handling international sales) and possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients and business opportunities across target industries.
  • Client Acquisition: Pitch our products/services to prospective clients through cold calling, emails, LinkedIn networking, and in-person meetings.
  • Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and existing clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Sales Lifecycle Management: Handle the entire sales cycle from initial contact to proposal preparation, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Market Research: Analyze local and regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to optimize sales strategies.
  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate daily and weekly records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress using [Insert CRM, e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or Excel].
  • Key Requirements & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field. (MBA is a plus).
  • Experience: [e.g., 1–3 years] of proven experience in B2B/B2C sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong negotiation, persuasion, and presentation abilities.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Kolkata commercial landscape and corporate hubs (e.g., Sector V, Rajarhat, Dalhousie) is highly preferred.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using CRM software.
  • Attitude: Proactive, self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
