Position: Collections Manager (Treasury)
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Department: Finance & Treasury
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer / Finance Head
We are seeking a highly organized and result-oriented Collections Manager (Treasury) to oversee receivables management, strengthen cash flow cycles, and ensure timely realization of payments from customers. The role requires proactive engagement with clients, strict adherence to collection SOPs, and close coordination with internal teams to minimize outstanding dues and payment delays.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills, with a focus on maintaining healthy cash flow and reducing debtor aging.
- Key ResponsibilitiesCollections & Receivables ManagementDrive timely collection of outstanding receivables from customers across all projects and business verticals.
- Maintain a structured follow-up mechanism with clients through calls, emails, meetings, and other communication channels as per company SOPs.
- Monitor customer payment schedules and proactively address potential delays before dues become overdue.
- Ensure collection targets and debtor aging benchmarks are consistently achieved.
- Cash Flow & Treasury SupportWork closely with the Treasury and Finance teams to ensure healthy cash inflows and liquidity management.
- Provide accurate collection forecasts and expected realization schedules.
- Track daily collections and update cash flow projections accordingly.
- Assist management in planning cash requirements based on receivable realization trends.
- Client Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain professional relationships with customers while ensuring firm adherence to payment commitments.
- Resolve payment-related queries, disputes, and documentation issues in coordination with relevant departments.
- Conduct regular reviews with key customers to improve payment discipline and collection efficiency.
- Monitoring & ReportingMaintain detailed records of customer interactions, commitments, collection status, and follow-up actions.
- Generate periodic MIS reports on collections, outstanding receivables, overdue accounts, aging analysis, and collection efficiency.
- Escalate high-risk accounts and chronic payment delays to senior management with recommended action plans.
- Process ComplianceEnsure all collection activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously evaluate collection processes and recommend improvements to reduce payment cycles and enhance recovery efficiency.
- Support implementation of automation and technology-driven collection practices where applicable.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Collection efficiency ratio.
- Reduction in debtor aging.
- Reduction in overdue receivables.
- Improvement in cash realization timelines.
- Accuracy of collection forecasting.
- Client payment adherence rates.
- Reduction in payment hangover cycles.
- Desired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in collections, treasury, receivables management, credit control, or finance operations.
- Experience in real estate, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or B2B industries will be an advantage.
- Required SkillsStrong collections and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Working knowledge of treasury operations and cash flow management.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to handle multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- High degree of professionalism, persistence, and accountability.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and demonstrated ability to improve collection efficiency and cash flow management.
