Inventory Executive

JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, coordinating inventory movements, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with warehouse management systems to optimize inventory control.

Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the system.
• Monitor stock levels daily and ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained
• Track inventory movement including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or expired stock and report to management
• Ensure proper storage of materials based on their nature
• Maintain bin location accuracy and ensure proper labelling of all inventory

Stock Receipt & Inward Processing

• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans
• Conduct physical inspection of goods for quality and quantity accuracy
• Check for damages, shortages, or discrepancies during receiving
• Update inventory system immediately upon receipt of goods
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all receipt documents
• Coordinate with vendors/transporters for any discrepancies or returns

Stock Issue & Outward Processing

• Process material requisitions from production/sales departments
• Issue materials based on approved requisition forms or work orders
• Verify material specifications before issuing to ensure accuracy
• Maintain proper documentation for all material issues
• Update inventory system for all outward movements
• Coordinate with dispatch team for timely delivery of finished goods
• Prepare delivery challans, packing lists, and other dispatch documents
• Ensure proper loading and vehicle check before dispatch

Physical Stock Verification & Audits

• Conduct regular cycle counts as per schedule (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Perform annual/periodic physical stock verification exercises

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with procurement team for reorder requirements
• Liaise with production/operations team for material planning
• Communicate with sales team regarding finished goods availability
