IT Network Support Field Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated IT Network Support Field Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting IT infrastructure and networking equipment at client locations. This role is perfect for candidates who enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, and Structured Cabling.

🔹 Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues at customer sites.

🔹 Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, CCTV systems, and network equipment.

🔹 Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Internet connectivity issues.

🔹 Perform preventive maintenance and health checks of IT infrastructure.

🔹 Coordinate with internal technical teams and customers for issue resolution.

🔹 Prepare service reports, installation reports, and maintenance documentation.

🔹 Ensure timely closure of support tickets while maintaining service quality standards.

🔹 Travel to client locations for installations, maintenance, and emergency support requirements.

Required Skills

✅ Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware & Networking

✅ Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN & Wireless Networks

✅ Experience with Routers, Switches, Firewalls & Network Security

✅ Windows OS Installation, Configuration & Troubleshooting

✅ Knowledge of CCTV, Biometric Devices, Printers & IT Peripherals

✅ Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently

✅ Good communication and customer-handling skills

Preferred Qualifications

🎓 Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field

🎓 Certifications such as CCNA, N+, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent will be an added advantage

🎓 Freshers with strong networking knowledge are also welcome to apply
