Job SummaryWe are seeking a Legal Executive with strong knowledge of Arbitration proceedings and Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (NI Act). The candidate will be responsible for managing legal recovery matters, coordinating with advocates, drafting legal documents, handling court and arbitration cases, and ensuring timely legal action for debt recovery.
- Key ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor cases related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (Cheque Bounce Cases).
- Handle arbitration matters from initiation to award execution.
- Draft and review legal notices, petitions, replies, agreements, affidavits, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with external advocates, arbitrators, and legal agencies.
- Maintain case records, legal MIS, and documentation.
- Track court hearings, arbitration proceedings, and case status updates.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on recovery-related matters.
- Assist in recovery and enforcement actions as per applicable laws.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments for collection of documents and evidence required for legal proceedings.
- Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- 1–5 years of experience in Arbitration, Debt Recovery, and Section 138 NI Act matters.
- Strong drafting and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of legal procedures, court processes, and arbitration laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Preferred ExperienceExperience in NBFC, FinTech, Banking, Financial Services, or Recovery Operations.
- Knowledge of civil litigation and debt recovery processes.
- Familiarity with legal compliance and contract management.
