Market Research Analyst

The Market Research Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret market, customer, competitor, and trade data to support business decisions. The role will focus on nonwoven fabrics, bags, polymers, packaging, and related industrial sectors, with strong emphasis on import/export data analysis for polymer.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research on nonwoven fabrics, bags, polymer, and related sectors to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
• Analyse sales data, industry reports, and consumer behaviour to support product development, pricing, and positioning strategies.
• Gather insights on raw materials, supply chain dynamics, market size, forecasts, and emerging opportunities in India and export markets.
• Analyse import/export data for polymer to identify trade patterns, key markets, demand shifts, and business opportunities.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, charts, and presentations for management to support decision-making.
• Track competitor offerings, pricing, distribution channels, and market movements.
• Work closely with sales, production, procurement, and management teams to convert research findings into practical actions.
• Support primary and secondary research through surveys, online research, industry databases, and internal data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in research, analytics, business intelligence, or industry analysis.

Skills Required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Good understanding of primary and secondary research methods.
• Ability to interpret large datasets and convert them into clear business insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Industry Knowledge

• Manufacturing, textiles, nonwoven fabrics, plastics, or packaging.
• Knowledge of polymer trade and import/export reporting.
• Understanding of raw material pricing, supply chains, and market demand trends.
• Familiarity with industrial and export-oriented business environments.
