Job Description – Mechanical Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced ITI Fitter (Mechanical) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical fitting, assembly, installation, maintenance, and fabrication-related work as per engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical fitting and assembly work.
• Read and understand mechanical/engineering drawings.
• Carry out cutting, drilling, grinding, filing, and fitting work.
• Assemble mechanical parts, machines, and equipment.
• Perform machine installation, alignment, and maintenance.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Check dimensions and ensure proper fitting and alignment.
• Identify and rectify mechanical fitting problems.
• Assist engineers and supervisors in fabrication and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping.

Skills Required

• ITI in Fitter/Mechanical Trade.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical fitting and assembly.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Measuring Tape, etc.
• Basic knowledge of machine components and mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of drilling, grinding, cutting, and alignment work.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious and disciplined.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter is preferred.
