Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and leadership-driven Pharmacy Manager to oversee our pharmacy operations. In this role, you will be the clinical and operational backbone of our pharmacy, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, strict regulatory compliance, and efficient day-to-day business management.
Beyond dispensing medications, you will lead and mentor a team of pharmacists and technicians, manage inventory, and foster strong relationships within our community. If you are a licensed pharmacist with a passion for healthcare excellence and a knack for team leadership, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including staff scheduling, workflow optimization, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dispensing environment.
- Clinical Excellence & Patient Care: Accurately review, compound, and dispense medications. Provide expert clinical counseling to patients regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and medical storage.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the pharmacy strictly adheres to all local, state, and federal laws (including HIPAA, DEA, and FDA regulations). Maintain impeccable record-keeping for controlled substances and patient privacy.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists. Foster a collaborative, positive, and accountable team culture.
- Inventory & Financial Control: Manage inventory levels to minimize waste, prevent shrinkage, and optimize budget. Monitor pharmacy sales, labor costs, and profit margins to meet business goals.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee medication error-reduction programs and health/safety protocols to ensure 100% accuracy in patient care.
- Community & Provider Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for local physicians, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve prescription or coverage issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S.Pharm.) from an accredited school of pharmacy. Or any other Graduation
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state
- Experience:
- Minimum of [3-5] years of experience as a practicing retail or clinical pharmacist.
- Minimum of [1-2] years in a supervisory or management role (preferred).
- Certifications: Immunization certification and active CPR/BLS certification.
- Core Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and medical terminology.
- Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling and provider collaboration.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., medication shipments).
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on pharmacy hours.
