Survey Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Survey Engineer to manage and execute all surveying activities for construction and façade projects. The candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, establishing control points, ensuring accurate measurements, and supporting project teams with precise data for execution.

The role requires strong technical expertise in surveying instruments, coordination with site teams, and ensuring accuracy in layout and alignment as per project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Survey Planning & Execution

· Conduct site surveys including topographical, layout, and as-built surveys.

· Establish primary and secondary control points and benchmarks at project sites.

· Ensure accurate setting out of works as per approved drawings and coordinates.

· Verify dimensions, levels, and alignments before and during execution.

Site Survey Management

· Perform daily site measurements and ensure correctness of layout markings.

· Coordinate with execution and design teams to ensure proper interpretation of drawings.

· Maintain survey records, logs, and field data for reference and reporting.

· Identify discrepancies in drawings and site conditions and report immediately.

Use of Survey Instruments

· Operate modern surveying equipment such as Total Station, Auto Level, Theodolite, and GPS systems.

· Ensure calibration and proper handling of all survey instruments.

· Use software tools for data processing and preparation of survey reports.

Coordination & Support

· Work closely with project engineers, contractors, and consultants for accurate execution.

· Provide technical guidance to site teams regarding layout and measurements.

· Assist in resolving site-related issues related to alignment and levels.

Documentation & Reporting

· Prepare survey reports, drawings, and measurement sheets.

· Maintain records of benchmarks, coordinates, and site references.

· Submit daily/weekly progress reports on survey activities.

Quality Control & Accuracy

· Ensure all survey activities meet project specifications and quality standards.

· Conduct periodic checks to avoid errors and deviations.

· Support quality and audit teams with required survey data.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Survey Engineering or related field.

· Certification in surveying techniques or GIS tools will be an added advantage.

Experience:

· Experience in construction, infrastructure, façade, or related projects preferred.

· Hands-on experience in site surveying and layout execution.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in operating Total Station, Auto Level, and other survey instruments.

· Knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing software.

· Understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, and site layouts.

· Familiarity with GPS and modern surveying technologies is preferred.

Soft Skills:

· High attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Willingness to travel and work across multiple project sites.
