STIBO STEP Consultant / Senior STIBO STEP Consultant

 

Experience

 

• 4–5+ years of strong hands‑on experience working with the STIBO STEP platform in enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) implementations.

 

 

Role Summary

 

The STIBO STEP Consultant will play a key role in designing, configuring, and delivering MDM solutions using the STIBO STEP platform. The role requires deep expertise in STEP data modelling, workflow configuration, supplier onboarding, PDX/supplier portal, validations, lifecycle controls and PIM-DAM (OpenText) integrations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Configure and customise STIBO STEP solutions to support Supplier and Product MDM use cases
• Design and implement supplier onboarding workflows, including validations, approvals, and mandatory attribute enforcement
• Configure and manage STIBO PDX / Supplier Portal, enabling external supplier collaboration
• Define, develop, and enforce validation rules, business rules, and attribute completeness checks
• Design and maintain workflow enhancements, including exception handling and re‑work cycles
• Implement and manage lifecycle states and lifecycle controls for master data objects
• Perform STEP data modelling, including:
• Attributes and attribute groups
• Data containers and references
• Configure Web UI components such as search screens, sub‑screens, and pop‑ups
• Develop and configure business rules using JavaScript/Rhino scripting (actions, conditions, validations)
• Work on data migration, bulk updates, and data quality remediation initiatives
• Support export/import configurations, packaging hierarchies, and change packaging
• Collaborate with integration teams on REST, SOAP, and IDOC (Inbound/Outbound/Gateway) integrations
• Participate in Agile delivery phases: requirement analysis, design, build, test, and deployment
• Support testing, go‑live, and post‑production stabilisation activities
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior team members
• Engage with business stakeholders and data governance teams to translate business requirements into STEP configurations

 

 

Must‑Have Skills

 

• Strong hands‑on experience with the STIBO STEP platform
• Proven experience with STIBO PDX / Supplier Portal
• Strong expertise in STEP configuration, including workflows, validations, and lifecycle management
• Deep understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles and best practices
• Hands‑on experience in STEP data modelling:
• Attributes, attribute groups
• Data containers and references
• Experience with Web UI configuration (search screens, sub‑screens, pop‑ups)
• Strong knowledge of business rules development using JavaScript / Rhino scripting
• Experience in STEP workflow configuration and enhancement
• Integration experience with REST, SOAP, and IDOC
• Experience in data migration and data quality management
• Hands‑on exposure to Java/J2EE or similar technologies
• Working knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases
• Experience with data modelling and architecture design
• Exposure to Agile delivery methodology
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in large programmes
