Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description & Summary: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between development and operations by automating processes, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring reliable system deployments. Candidate will play a key role in enhancing system performance, monitoring, and infrastructure management. 

Responsibilities: 

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes 

Maintain and optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency 

Collaborate with development teams to streamline code releases and improve deployment frequency 

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools 

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability 

Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines 

Manage containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) 

Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system improvements 

Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms are in place 

Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement 

Mandatory skill sets: 

Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) 

Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.) 

Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) 

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) 

Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Shell scripting) 

Experience with version control systems (Git) 

Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.) 

Understanding of networking, security, and system architecture 

Experience with Linux/Unix system administration 

Preferred skill sets: 

Experience with microservices architecture 

Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) 

Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools 

Experience in managing large-scale distributed systems 

Exposure to serverless architectures 

Knowledge of database management (SQL/NoSQL) 

Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.) 

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies 

Years of experience required: 

5 to 8 yrs 

Education qualification: 

BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech (Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field)
