Job Description & Summary: A career within….

Responsibilities :

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (formerly known as Visual Studio Team Services or VSTS) to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Configure and manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and security groups, to support application development and deployment.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure proper integration of code into source control and automate code deployments.
• Implement and configure monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build and deployment processes, infrastructure, and application performance.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and PowerShell scripts.
• Stay up to date with the latest Azure DevOps tools and technologies and make recommendations on their adoption to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams in adopting DevOps best practices, including version control, branching strategies, and release management.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and implement security controls in the Azure environment.
• Document processes, procedures, and best practices for Azure DevOps to enable knowledge sharing and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Required skills and qualifications :

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in an Agile development environment. Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps tools, including Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, Azure Boards, and Azure Artifacts. Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform. Familiarity with Azure services and technologies, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Storage. Knowledge of source control systems like Git and version control best practices. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications, such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator Associate, are a plus.
