Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeler to join our data architecture team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, data warehousing, and cloud technologies, with a passion for building scalable and compliant data solutions that support advanced analytics and machine learning use cases.
Responsibilities:
· Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting.
· Develop dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas) for data warehouses and Lakehouses.
· Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models.
· Utilize data modeling tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, or dbt to create and maintain models.
· Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture standards and support data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
· Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stack tools to implement scalable data solutions.
· Apply concepts of data mesh, data vault modeling, and data fabric to support decentralized and federated data architectures.
· Optimize SQL queries and ensure high performance of data models in platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or other Lakehouse environments.
· Support machine learning and advanced analytics initiatives by ensuring data models are analytics ready.
· Document data models and metadata to facilitate understanding and usage across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Minimum 8 years of experience in data modeling and data architecture.
· Strong proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
· Hands-on experience with Erwin, PowerDesigner, or dbt.
· Expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, or similar lakehouse platforms.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack tools.
· Understanding of data mesh, data vault, or data fabric concepts.
· Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
· Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics use cases.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certifications in cloud platforms or data modeling tools.
· Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams.
· Background in data engineering or analytics is a plus.
Mandatory skill sets:
· Strong experience with data engineering technologies, particularly Spark, PySpark, and Python.
Preferred skill sets:
· 9+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles. · 3+ years of experience in a Technical managerial role. · Industry certifications related to data engineering or cloud platforms are a plus.
