Backend Developer (PHP Laravel & Node.js)
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in PHP (Laravel) and Node.js to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have a problem-solving mindset, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Laravel and Node.js
Build and manage RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
Manage and optimize databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms
Ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of applications on servers/cloud platforms
Work on real-time applications using Node.js when required
Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed
Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in PHP with Laravel Framework
Proficiency in Node.js and backend JavaScript development
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API security practices
Knowledge of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Understanding of server management, hosting, and deployment processes
Knowledge of MVC architecture and software development lifecycle
Experience with third-party APIs and payment gateway integrations
Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)
Knowledge of microservices architecture
Experience with WebSockets / real-time applications
Familiarity with Docker or containerization
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
