Job Description
A steward ensures the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and dining areas, supporting chefs and servers to provide a seamless guest experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Operating commercial dishwashers, washing utensils, cleaning kitchen surfaces, and handling waste disposal.
- Inventory & Storage: Restocking stations with clean cutlery, glassware, and tableware, and ensuring proper storage of cleaning supplies.
- Operational Support: Assisting the culinary team with food preparation and helping service staff with setting up tables, polishing cutlery, and clearing tables.
- Safety Adherence: Adhering to health and safety regulations (e.g., EHS guidelines) and maintaining a clean, safe working environment to prevent accidents.
- Guest Service (F&B Specific): In some settings, welcoming guests, setting up tables, and supporting table service.
