Electrician

We are looking for a skilled Solar Technician / Electrician to support the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar power systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical wiring, solar panel installation, inverter connections, earthing, cable laying, and site-level electrical work.

The role requires working on residential, commercial, industrial, and government solar projects while ensuring safety, quality, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Solar Installation WorkInstall solar PV modules, mounting structures, DC cables, AC cables, inverters, junction boxes, and distribution panels.
• Perform proper cable routing, dressing, crimping, lugging, ferruling, and termination.
• Install and connect solar inverters, ACDB, DCDB, LT panels, earthing systems, and lightning arresters.
• Ensure panels are installed at the correct angle, alignment, and layout as per site drawings.
• Electrical WorkCarry out electrical wiring, conduit laying, cable tray work, and panel connections.
• Perform AC and DC side electrical connections as per approved drawings.
• Check polarity, voltage, current, insulation resistance, and continuity.
• Support net meter installation and coordination with DISCOM teams when required.
• Testing & CommissioningAssist in testing and commissioning of solar power plants.
• Check inverter performance, string voltage, earthing resistance, and system generation.
• Identify and resolve faults in solar panels, wiring, inverters, connectors, and electrical panels.
• Maintain proper documentation of readings and commissioning reports.
• Maintenance & TroubleshootingPerform regular preventive maintenance of solar plants.
• Clean solar panels and inspect mounting structures, cables, connectors, and inverters.
• Diagnose faults such as low generation, inverter errors, cable damage, earthing issues, or panel failure.
• Provide quick technical support during breakdowns or service calls.
• Safety & QualityFollow all electrical safety practices while working on rooftops, industrial sites, and live electrical systems.
• Use PPE such as helmet, gloves, safety shoes, harness, and tools properly.
• Ensure all work is completed as per company quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline at project sites.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, ACDB, DCDB, earthing, and wiring.
• Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical systems.
• Ability to read simple electrical drawings and site layouts.
• Hands-on experience with tools like multimeter, clamp meter, drilling machine, crimping tool, insulation tester, etc.
• Understanding of cable sizing, connectors, MCBs, isolators, and electrical protection devices.
• Comfortable working on rooftops, heights, and outdoor project sites.
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under site timelines.
