Job Description
- Factory CleanlinessConduct daily inspections of the entire factory.
- Ensure all production, storage, and common areas are clean and hygienic.
- Verify cleaning schedules are completed by staff.
- Report and follow up on any housekeeping issues.
- Equipment & MaintenanceInspect all machinery and equipment for proper working condition.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Report equipment breakdowns immediately.
- Coordinate repairs with technicians and vendors.
- Maintain maintenance records and service logs.
- Expiry & Inventory ChecksCheck expiry dates of all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
- Ensure First Expiry First Out (FEFO) and First In First Out (FIFO) practices are followed.
- Remove and report expired or damaged products immediately.
- Monitor stock rotation in all storage areas.
- Food StorageEnsure all food products are stored at the correct temperature and humidity.
- Verify proper labelling of all ingredients and finished products.
- Ensure storage areas remain organized and pest-free.
- Monitor refrigeration and freezer temperatures daily.
- Ensure food is stored off the floor and away from walls where required.
- Compliance & Food SafetyEnsure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, and internal food safety standards.
- Conduct daily compliance audits.
- Ensure staff follow hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Verify proper use of PPE (hairnets, gloves, aprons, masks where applicable).
- Report any food safety violations immediately.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Pest ControlInspect for signs of pest activity.
- Coordinate with pest control service providers.
- Maintain pest control records and corrective actions.
- DocumentationMaintain daily inspection checklists.
- Keep maintenance logs updated.
- Record corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- File compliance and audit reports.
- Required SkillsKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Understanding of FSSAI regulations.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Good observation and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
